“In the cozy atmosphere of our Amsterdam home we recorded a bunch of great songs in all simplicity: All together in one tiny room under the roof, no headphones, just music. With these recordings, I want to take a deep bow before my musical heroes – Otis Redding, Bill Withers, Cassandra Wilson, Dayna Kurtz, Al Green, just to name a few – who inspire and move me so deeply with their voices, their songs and their passion.
